Help Wanted
WATeR has dozens of volunteers, and many hands make light work. There are some specific areas where a volunteer could really help us out right now!
Water Sampling Coordinator. This is a volunteer position that will ensure sufficient personnel are available to assist project managers with water sampling events on Tellico Lake and its tributaries. No chemistry or biology background is required but good administrative skills are important. Interested candidates should email William Roy at williamroy@tellicowater.org with your contact information and he will contact you.
Temperature Monitoring Guru: Maintain and update the temperature monitoring stations that are operating at (6) different locations around Tellico Village. This requires some knowledge of electronics and software programming. The position will be under the guidance of Cecil Clontz, who has designed and built the existing stations.
TEC Tree Distribution Project Manager: Lead the effort to distribute bareroot trees to residents of Monroe County. This is a March project which supports the Tennessee Environmental Council, which does all the supply and ordering. This role is simply to organize a one day distribution activity.
